Dragons Blood – where on earth is that from? Another silly skincare craze? perhaps, but its worth a try! A catchy name needs to follow up with results, this seems to do the trick. With promises to combat my under-eye bags, drooping skin, I wanted to share this Skin Physics Dragon’s Blood to review.
Dragon’s Blood is a line from Skin Physics is a line that reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and plumps up your skin. It dubbed a ‘wonder ingredient’ for anti-aging and evening out complexion. If you’re a Game of Thrones Fan, don’t worry, Khaleesi’s Dragons were not harmed to create this miraculous cream. Although it may be the secret to her flawless complexion… ‘Dragon’s Blood’ is a term used to describe the rich red sap from the Croton Lecheri tree. It is native to the Amazon Rainforest and known in South America for its healing properties.
Before sharing this, I was assured that Skin Physics products are 100% not tested on animals and that the Dragon’s Blood sap is all ethically sourced, such an exotic ingredient needs a little extra research added to the end of the article 😉
Dragon’s Blood Review
This Dragon’s Blood range from Skin Physics targets tired and damaged skin with real results in no time. The Australian skincare brand is a number one seller in Priceline and loved by ladies all over the country. I must say, I have worked with them but was not sponsored to write this article. Rather I wanted to share the and easy-to-follow regime to transform your skin at home.
This 5 step routine is ideal for stressed, tired or aging skin. My favorite is the first step to the regime: The 3 in 1 Antioxidant Cleanser as it provides a deep clean without drying out skin. It holds just the right consistency with a slight exfoliation from the fruit enzymes to the rich and moisturizing lather. It creates a lovely experience in the shower as the fragrance transports you to a meadow of apple blossoms without overpowering senses. Showers are a rare thing for me with babies so I hang onto these little luxuries.
After cleansing, treat yourself to Skin Physics’ hero product – their Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel. This is the most popular and well-known gel that aims to rejuvenate and firm up sagging skin. Naturally occurring compounds are full of antioxidants. Dragon’s Blood is also anti-inflammatory, great the rejuvenation and replenishment of your face, neck, and Décolletage. It is a must for any regime to be used at least once every day. Following this, I never skip out on the SPF in the Radiance Daily Moisturiser to protect your skin every day from the elements.
The Ultra Plumping Night Cream is the last step to the magic. Containing pure Retinol capsules and Hyaluronic Acid. The night cream will enhance hydration and correct your skin whilst you sleep, mmm sleep.
So how does Dragon’s Blood Tighten up your skin? The ingredients act as a second skin, lock in the moisture and encourage the natural rejuvenation process.
So as skinphysics.com.au says:
“Yes we use sustainable natural ingredients…our dragon’s blood (croton lecheri sap) is ethically sourced and no harm comes to the trees. No parabens or sulphates are used in our formulations either… we obtain our dragon’s blood by cutting the bark in a diagonal manner and bleeding the latex. This method is employed by native locals, which helps preserve the trees, allowing it to be a renewable and sustainable resource. It also supports local communities and fair trade.” See more here.
