As you know, I love a simple glow so was very excited when beauty it-girl Hailey Baldwin – now Hailey Beiber released her makeup line with ModelCo cosmetics. In Nov’17 the much loved Aussie beauty brand known for its quality affordable products launched the new collab, and it sold out straight away. Now, it has never been easier to re-create the models ‘no makeup’ makeup look she is famous for.
I like that it’s accessible, Hailey has created so much quality content where you can actually see exactly how to use the range. Step, by step, and how amazing it can look.
Trying Out Hailey Baldwin X ModelCo Cosmetics
I picked out two products from the range. One is The ‘Feline Kit’ containing a liquid eyeliner and comes with a great little applicator hack, the other is her On-the-Glow Highlighter✨ which is gorgeous.
Hailey’s On-the-Glow Highlighter is a versatile product which creates a subtle sheen without the sparkle. I use it on my cheekbones (sometimes nose, eyelids, and upper lip). It’s easy to apply with my fingers, that way it blends well and creates a fresh dewy glow without looking too greasy.
It is the ultimate go-to-glow – which is what it’s about here at The Glow Manifesto! Hailey explains
“My product range is affordable, accessible and combines quality and femininity for a photo-finish inspired look and feel.”
This rings true in this product and I can’t help feeling a little more glam when I use the highlighter in its sleek pot.
I would say it is pure gold, but the one downside is that it does not come in gold – the three colours are ‘Spotlight’ (white), Rose Glow and Bronze. The bronze works best with my medium complexion but I do wish they had a gold one. Here it is blended with a gold highlighter, lining my cheekbones is Hourglass cosmetics Ambient lighting bronzer in Luminous.
A Clever Feline kit
Love a liquid eye but don’t know how to nail it?
The second product I tried is the clever Feline kit which you will love. The liquid eyeliner works really well and lasts as a true black. The best thing about the kit is the applicator which is a fantastic tool in achieving the perfect angle for your liner. I often like to create a cat-eye so have had a lot of practice and am comfortable using liquid eyeliner.
I did try using the applicator to mark where my flick stopped which was good to ensure they were even. However, for me, I did not find the applicator useful for actually creating the flick. If you try to draw the perfect cat eye with it it seems to smudge and you can’t really see what you are doing.
Having said that, if you are NOT comfortable drawing a cat-eye yourself this is perfect! I used in on my friend (who gave me the kit) and she actually ended up keeping the applicator. She is someone who never really mastered the cat-eye and found using the applicator really helped her achieve that look. After a little practice, she was creating the flick like Hailey had intended.
I love how the range is designed to create a clean and simple makeup look to get glowing✨
