To say I really enjoy Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter is an understatement – I don’t mean to sound like I eat it… the Mango flavour is delightful, but I would rather eat real mango’s and use this for its intended purpose – to soften, nourish and protect you lips.
Why I love Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter
I love that when I apply Burt’s Bees Nourishing Lip Balm with Mango Butter, it gives the most natural look. You would never know that there was anything on my lips. It’s truly a product for everyone – I even use it on my twins when it is windy! Even though you can’t see the balm, I know its there because it does a great job at protecting against the elements. Although one thing I wish it has was some sort of SPF protection. But it makes up for it with its sweet soothing and replenishing effect on my lips as well as being extremely hydrating.
How it works
It must be the 100% natural Beeswax from sustainably farmed Bee hives that do most of the hard work with the protection, but there is more the little cylinder of goodness, the other secret ingredients maybe what makes this balm great. The added sunflower oil, almond oil and my favourite coconut oil add an extra level of hydration and nourishment whilst the Lanolin provide another layer to lock in moisture and not have it turn too waxy.
Everyday, all day, keep it in your hand bag, or like me, one in the pram, one in the nappy bag, usually one somewhere else too – just in case. Better to be safe than sorry – who wants dry, cracked lips.
Where to get it
Another great thing about this product is the price point is very reasonable and it’s available all over the world. You can find this product online from Adore Beauty, department stores and health-food stores across the world. I buy mine from Adore Beauty.
Other flavours in the range include Moisturising Wild Cherry, Strawberry, Vanillas Lip Balms, Hydrating Lip Balm with Coconut & Pear, Refreshing Lip Balm with Pink Grapefruit, Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil, Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Açaí Berry, Honey, and the regular Beeswax Lip Balms.
Try a little granulated sugar to exfoliate your lips before applying for an even sweeter, smoother experience. You can always use these steps as a primer then apply any lipstick you like for a silky smooth finish!
