Superbody Review – Slim Contour Cream

Contouring for your body? Let me introduce to you a new range from Aussie beaty brand Skin Physics called Superboy. We are not talking about adding a little bronzer or a spray of Airbrush Legs. The Aussie beauty brand has just released two products as part of their revolutionary new range. Frist is a Crepe Away cream for older skin. Second is the Slim Contour cream includes an ingredient which is ‘the first topical alternative to Coolsculpt cryotherapy’. I know people wanted a real, honest Superbody review so here it is

It literally aims to ‘visibly reduce cellulite, shape body contour and lift & tighten sagging skin’. Sounds promising right? Of course, it’s not going to be like liposuction or 3 weeks in the gym – but I can’t do any of those things right now anyway. I have nothing to lose so decided to have a little fun and give it a go. I’m hoping Skin Physics delivers on their new Superbody range. After using the Slim Contour Cream for three weeks now and this is what I thought.

What’s New From Skin Physics

Skin physics is now Australias leading cosmeceutical brand, and for good reason. Their number one selling Superlift Range in Priceline is a huge hit. I absolutely love their hydrating face masks. Oh, and let’s not forget their Dragon’s Blood range, which you can read more about on a recent blog post here.

Skin physics have released a product range called Superbody, aiming to erase saggy skin and signs of ageing on your body (hooray!). I find that my upper thighs are usually the worst offender when it comes to toning. Sometimes sag turns into saddle bags all too quickly, even the tiniest of women still get cellulite (how?!). No matter how fit you are, no one is immune. So this cream is for anyone who wants to give those stubborn subcutaneous body fat and cellulite a run for its money – without actually running or wasting money.

Superbody Slim Contour Cream Review

The revolutionary new Superbody contour cream and Crepe Away does not make any magical claims. Rather, it has stuck to science, the cream is designed to:

  • Visibly reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Effectively shape body contour
  • Lift and tighten the appearance of sagging skin; restoring youthful elasticity.

How with Superboy Slim Contour achieve that?

Dr Curtis Castro, who I have has the pleasure of working with, has selected these some fantastically powerful fighting ingredients including:

A liposoluble anti-cellulite slimming active, derived from two of natures thermogenic sources: Capsaicin, the active component of chili peppers and an organic sprout extract from the Brassica alba species, the spicy mustard. Together they induce a rapid warming effect on problems areas to burn fat and for a smoother appearance of cellulite.

Also known as marine plankton extract (which I use in quite a few different beauty products). This marine extract is the first topical alternative to Coolsculpt cryotherapy.

Bio Oils:

Green Coffee Seed Oil which is commonly used to stimulate the skin. It boosts collagen and elastin production, tackling stretch marks. It is also infused with argan oil and Tamanu Seed Oil, known for its ability to stimulate collagen production.

Applying The Slim Contour Smoothing Cream

Consistancy is lightweight and it rubs in well. The smell is totally unoffensive. You only need a small amount like a fifty cent piece for one area. Be careful not to squirt out the entire bottle in one go!

The package I was sent from Skin Physics included a dry body brush to help prep the
skin. These are highly recommended to use before a shower, then applying the cream. It helps stimulate cells, exfoliates skin and boosts circulation.

Superbody Review

Given I do not moisturise as much, I was surprised by the hydrating effects it had on my skin. The Slim Contour cream has at least made me pay more attention to the thigh area. Maybe it is that I am feeling more comfortable in my skin (no mean feat after having twins), or maybe there is something in this product. Either way, I like what it is doing to my body confidence and will continue to use the product!

Okay, I know a cream is not going to make me achieve my ideal body. It is not a slimming cream, but if you are in the market for body contour creams, this is a good one to go for. After 3 weeks of using it, I have to say I am feeling a little… tighter or ‘contoured’ around the areas I applied the cream.

What You Can Do To Further The Effect

Aside from the obvious excercise and eating well, using a body brush and weekly exfoliations can work wonders. It will stimulate the surface of the skin and target the fat on a deeper level. I wish they would bring out a Superbody scrub. Something like the popular coffee scrubs but with the same active ingredients on a cosmeceutical level.

If all else fails, get a spray tan! Ladies, you with me?
